Big picture problems, for sure. And I like your solutions. Moving forward, What do you think of requiring all who want to become citizens to learn American history — and the English language?

My mother went through the naturalization process fairly recently and citizenship required exhaustive civics and history education. I actually think it is more important that American citizens learn another language. We require that or sign language in the Florida college system. The joke is someone who speaks three languages is trilingual and a person who speaks one language is American.

I suspect immigrants who've been through the naturalization process know more about American history than many born here.

You would be correct. I use a man on the street video in some of my presentations with, who fought in the civil war, in the Spanish American war and when was the war of 1812. Jaw dropping answers. Dismantle the federal Department of Education. Since 1979 when it was founded we dropped from 1st to 26th.

That sadly doesn't surprise me one bit!

You undoubtedly saw the latest nation's report card. And the left expects us to put even more money into a system that's failing students?

Comprehensive and extremely well done piece on a topic with several moving parts.

You're absolutely spot on when you say that "Compassion and order must combat the lies. "There is nothing compassionate about what's been allowed to fester at the border the past few years. Not for us and not for the migrants. My God, migrant women are repeatedly raped and tens of thousands of children left abandoned. A porous border has allowed fentanyl, gang bangers, criminals, and suspected terrorists to claim victims on our side.

Creating an orderly process is indeed the most compassionate solution to this problem. And it's a premise mentioned throughout the Holy Bible.

I'm also a fan of Tom Holman.
